Because if families get cheesy holiday updates, your mortgage broker can too.
As we close out 2025 ā a year that somehow felt like three years stacked in a trench coat ā I wanted to write something a little different.
Think of this as the official Edith Christmas Letter: equal parts chaotic, heartfelt, joyful, and honest⦠basically the whole vibe of this year.
Letās begin with a plot twist.
Ending the Year in True Edith Fashion⦠Family Feud!
Yes, it happened. Yes, it was as chaotic as youāre imagining.
Your favourite mortgage broker went FULL game-show mode on Family Feud, complete with buzzer-slaps, questionable answers, and enough laughter to last a decade.
Was I born for television? Probably.
Will I take Gerry Dee's job? Letās not rule it out.
We Also Added a New Family Member
Meet Sunny, the worldās cutest furry tornado.
He:
steals socks
ignores commands
thinks every Zoom call is about him
radiates pure sunshine (and mischief)
Heās equal parts chaos and cuddle ā my spirit animal, basically.
A Big Dream Began: Adulting Costs Extra (The Podcast!)
Behind the scenes this year, Iāve been planning, dreaming, brainstorming, laughing, and occasionally spiralling (creatively!!) as I built out my new podcast:
Adulting Costs ExtraĀ ā launching January 2026.
Itās the podcast for women navigating:
money
homeownership
yoga-level stress
motherhood
dogs
healing
life transitions
ambition
being a little tired but still unstoppable
If youāve ever felt like youāre doing your best while googling āwhy is adulthood so expensive?ā ā this oneās for you.
Teaching the Girl Guides About Money
One of the brightest and funniest moments of the year?
Standing in front of a troop of Girl Guides, teaching them about:
how money actually works
saving
spending
why cookies may be delicious, but not a business plan
Their questions were bold. Their energy was big .Their honesty was unmatched.
If thatās our future generation, weāre in good hands.
Hosting My First-Ever Client Appreciation Event: Flow & Grow
This year, something beautiful happened.
I brought together my two worlds ā yoga and mortgagesĀ ā and hosted my first Client Appreciation Event, a gentle yoga class followed by a cozy reception.
Flow & Grow wasnāt just an event. It was:
⨠community
⨠connection
⨠laughter
⨠mindfulness meets money meets real life
Seeing clients come together, breathe together, move together, and build friendships⦠it felt like the beginning of something big.
And trust me ā more events are coming in 2026.
We Even Made Time for Magic⦠Florida & Harry Potter World
Because childhood magic matters. Because moms deserve joy. Because butterbeer is, in fact, delicious.
Taking my daughter to Universal and watching her wander through Diagon Alley with wide eyes and a full heart? Truly unforgettable.
It was one of those moments where you think:āOkay⦠this is why we do the hard things.ā
š and also⦠The Hardest Part: Losing My Mom
This year also carried a deep, unexpected grief.
I lost my mom early in the year ā and it changed everything.
Grief has a way of:
softening you
strengthening you
slowing you down
shaking you awake
This year, I learned how to keep going while carrying loss. How to honour her by growing. How to love harder, rest more, and listen inward.
If you experienced loss this year too⦠Iām holding space for you.
2025 Was Big, Messy, Beautiful, Heartbreaking & Magical
The highs were high.
The lows were low.
The learning was constant.
The gratitude was enormous.
This year brought:
⨠new clients
⨠new friendships
⨠new opportunities
⨠new courage
⨠new purpose
And as always ā YOU were a big part of it.
Thank you for your trust.Thank you for the referrals.Thank you for being in this community.
Thank you for letting me walk alongside your homeownership journey, your life transitions, and your goals.
Hereās to 2026 ā With Purpose, Peace, Playfulness & Possibility
Weāll flow. Weāll grow .Weāll laugh. Weāll cry a little .Weāll build wealth. Weāll breathe deeper. Weāll find good energy and good homes. Weāll talk about all of it ā on the podcast.Ā š
From my home ā and Sunnyās bed ā to yours:
